Sara Fontana, graduated in Modern Literature with a specialization in Art History from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, earned her Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Art History and a Ph.D. in "History of the Arts in Lombardy from the Middle Ages to the Contemporary Age" from the same university. Since 2009, she has been a contract professor of Contemporary Art History at the Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage (Cremona) at the University of Pavia. She also served as a contract professor of Contemporary Art History at the Department of Letters and Philosophy at the University of Trento. In addition to her academic roles, she held positions as a curator at the Archivio di Nuova Scrittura in Milan and at the Civic Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Masnago Castle in Varese.
