The diary of Eva - Madrid: The Reina Sofia homage to Lootz

“Making as if Wondering: So What Is This?” is the title of the exhibition dedicated to Eva Lootz. When Lootz arrived in Madrid in the 1960s, she investigated the combination of language-material, taking an interest in the need for a new dialogue between humans and animals. Later, her analysis will focus on a wide variety of themes: contemporary visuality, overexposure to images and the impact of digital culture on current gnoseology; issues always deepened through a feminist, anticolonialist and careful perspective to the most marginalized social classes. Despite the wide variety of media, the exhibition focuses on the drawings that constitute a sort of diary, a writing parallel to her artistic investigation. Curated by Fernando Lopez.
